my bad im the buyer i have been looking for a z for a while its a little more than i orginally wanted to spend but in my area their isnt much to chose from and its clean one owner no mods. i really didnt want to fly somewhere to get a better deal on the forum thanks again
Well, you're going to pay more from a dealer but they should come with some kind of warranty, whether it's 30 days, etc. Not to mention the convienence factor of being really close and having them do all the paperwork. If it's the car you've been looking for and somewhat in your price range, why not?
If you're willing to travel it would open up a lot of options but it's understandable to stay local.
I paid a smooth 2k more than I wanted to on my car. BUT it was THE ONE I've always wanted. So like Deception said, why not? Go for it if it's the car you're looking for. Though there are many Z's out there- one owner w/ no/little mods is becoming a rareity.
I wouldn't pay more than 25, it just isn't worth it with the funky stripe thing on the side. I found mine at a dealer as well, an '03 with 13K miles. It was listed at 27 also and I low-balled them down to 23K out the door. You can practically steal these things from dealers right now, don't let them tell you anything different.
Shifter, stripes, Z06 on the interior flip down cover(to remind you that you're driving a Z06). I would look for other mods first. Stock tires?(at 30k they need to immediately replaced) Original brake pads? OEM air intake? Ti exhaust?, headers? How do the seats look? Look at everything, point out everything that isn't original, and deduct for each item. 27 seems really high for 30k miles. I bought mine in 03 with 9k miles for 32k. I would pay 27 for a pristine, no mods at all, under 5k mi C5 Z. I'd think you can get them down between 24/22k.
