I just installed a retractable (roll-up) screen door on the door that goes into the garage. We get a great cross through breeze from the garage through the patio doors but could not take advantage of it due to the cats and grand baby...hence the screen install. The problem was the screen is black and has no detectable cross frame, so you could not tell if it was open or closed. I needed something like the decals they put on glass patio door to warn people it is closed. It had to be permanent but able to be rolled up may times without creasing or falling off. Perhaps a stencil with paint but of what design??? HMMM, I think I've got an idea.....
Steps:
1. Scanned and enlarged a decal I had.
2. Traced it onto some contact paper and cut it out.
3. Attached to the screen, with additional newspaper around it to mask it off.
4. Added about 4 light coats of Krylon Sun Yellow.
5. Peel off the mask and enjoy.
