Rear view mirror reading lights won't go off. Replaced the battery today and restarted the car to make sure all was okay. Now the lights are staying on, so I guess my battery will be dead soon. Any ideas? Does the C5 have an accessory shut off feature after 10 minutes like the C6 does? Thanks for any help.
Finally went off after 15-20 minutes. Opening the door just started the process all over again. Usually they go off in a minute or so. Not sure if there is a way to adjust the time or not.
You're sure its the reading lights right (not the action area light?). The action area light is in the center.
Check for an open hatch/trunk/hood, or stuck sensor (cause that will make the action area light stay on). And yup, the action area light stays on if everything is buttoned up correctly for a bit, not long (a minute or so), but it stays on sometimes (never figured out why).
If something else is open, the interior lights will stay on for 15 min then shut off automaticaly.
Of course, I also never figured out why a car that can tell me how much air is in the tires, has a computer in each door, can figure out how much to open the throttle but not too much to break somethig and can individualy apply one brake to pull me back from deaths door yet cant seem to manage shutting the headlights off by itself if I leave them on ?
