Texas is a front plate state as well
. I have been pulled over twice before I did the mesh screen but was let off with a warning both times. Now I will have to cross my fingers beacuse I can't promise to put the plate on when I get home.
I have spoken to a few other guys with this mod in Texas and they said they have not gotten a ticket, but still, they have been stopped for it. I think as long as you don't act like a jerk, most cops will work with you rather than go straight to the ticket book.....most of the time.
