I sold my Z28 last year, and finally found a replacement. It seems only fitting it should be replaced with a Z06. Its a 2001 with 26,000 miles and is basically stock. I'm trying to resist the mod bug and get more familiar with the car, then decide what I want to do with it.
I bought the car from another forum member, and I am having a blast with it. I know this thread is useless without pics, so I'll include one.
First mod = MGW shifter! This was the first thing I did and of the LT's/ORX/VR/B&B Fusions i've done since - it's probably my single favorite mod; makes SUCHH a difference in shifting!
Congrats, i knew it was an 01 just by looking at those darker colored z06s. Which just looked so good i now have some on my 02.
<--- came from fbodys also. I still got my 92 but my gf drives a 00. There are just no comparisons, the vette is a better car all the way around in every department.
You may want to look into lowering the car all the way down on the factory bolts...it's free if you have a floor jack and some basic tools. It should drop the car down about 3/4", close up the wheel well gap a bit, and have no adverse effect on the ride. Just a suggestion...
