Default Anyone have a TWM shift ****?

Working on the adaptation of my C2 T-Handle shifter to fit the new shifter plate and ran across a shift **** by TWM (www.twmshiftknobs.com). Has anyone taken a look at these beauties or used one?

I have the A6 Leopord in satin black finish.
It's on my shortend (1/2") stock shifter.
The heavy weight of the **** combined with the perceived slightly shorter throws has kept me from going with an aftermarket short throw shifter. Very nice combination.

Glad to see a couple of C5'ers have used these.

I have a question. Being they are heavy and made really for the manual transmissions due to their 400 grm weight to "act as a counterwight" and I'm looking at putting one of these on a modified stalk for an A4/automatic tranny I have concerns.

My question is, is this thing so heavy it could cause the shifter to jump into another gear? I'll have the lockout working for the P to R positions but the 4 to 1 worries me a bit.

I thought about the aluminium one however, the stalk I'm building is a "T-Handle" lockout from a 1966 C2 Vette. Picked up the C5 shifter plate found on other threads on this forum and have figured out how to put everything together. Just trying to get rid of this boring looking stock A4 shifter (bad back so can't take the manual tranny any more in S.Cal traffic). Therefore, really need to stay with the stainless to make it all look right.

Should be an interesting looking rig when I get it installed. Was going to do it this January as I'm coming home in 3 weeks from a year here in the sand/rock pile of the middle east. But, unfortunately, will be home only 10 days before I ship out for where it's green and wet. Project will wait until another year. Great way to keep the miles of your C5, just don't see it, let alone drive it.
