Dielectric silicon grease works well for me and you can find it at any auto parts store. Use sparingly, a little goes a long way :thumbs.

I used dialectric for a few years but it messy as sin. I now use Adams vinyl and rubber protectant. Put it on with a sponge and it seems to be doing the job. $.02 deposited.

Where can you find it? Let me guess, an autoparts store?

Here's what I have been using - I got a can of natural silicone lubricant from an auto body shop years ago. The stuff came with a brush and you just spread it on and work it into the weatherstripping. Kept the weatherstripping on my '00 looking like new.

Will any of these products recooperate a neglected set of seals? My 97 was basically left to burn in the sun for a few years before I bought it, and the weather stripping shows it...

I got three tubes of silicon grease for weatherstripping from Mid-America motorworks. I've had it for years now and have only used up one of the tubes. You spread in on with your finger and then work it into the weatherstripping, it dries over a couple of days and leaves the rubber in excellant condition. My $0.02
