Default Temp gauge question

OK guys now don't hammer me too hard on this one

My 2004 Z06 temp gauge: at the 220* mark just before that there is a short line and then a long line...I assumed the long line was 200* and the short 210* When the needle is pointing where I assume the 200* mark is the digital readout on the DIC is reading 192*-194*
Is it common for the two to be off? Am I correct that the two lines represent 200* and 210*
Would you go by the digital readout or the gauge?

I told you this was a newb question

Thanks for the help!

Jim

Your car is running normal temps man. I think they run from 189 up to 235. Are you on the highway, A/C running, or stop and go trafic? As for your needle being off, you need to check your heads up display, and your gauges, and then set your cruise controll and you are going to get 3 different readings also.
