[Z06] Zo6 Vin question

Zo6 Vin question

Getting ready to leave today to go pick up my first Corvette, a 2001 zo6. When researching the VIN I was looking at the VIN information on corvette action center's website. What it shows is that the last 6 digits is for the cars production number. In 2001 there were only 5,773 units built. The VIN on the car I bought, the last 6 numbers are 109931. If I understand this correctly that would mean my car was #9931, how could this be? Everything seems to match on this car, please help.

it is the total number of Corvettes, not just Z06's.

The Z06's were just thrown in with the rest. Good luck with the new Z. I just picked up my 01 Z in July...nothing but fun

Total 2001 Corvettes Built - 35,627

Total 2001 Coupes - 15,681
Total 2001 Convertibles - 14,173
Total 2001 Z06 - 5,773

I am sooo pumped, sleeping the last 2 nights have been tough. I grew up around vette's and pro-streets, but this my first vette that is all mine.

Just got in a few minutes ago.. I decided after checking the weather that I would drive the car home. Got up this a.m. and it was pouring rain at the hotel we stayed at. Needless to say that I had to drive it 3 hours in the rain, I felt sick!!!! But 8 total hours later I got her home. Washed immediately and then put in garage. Super car...very pleased
