Default power shifting destruction

how horrible is it for the tansmission to power shift? what usually breaks? is it only really bad if your car is heavily modded? is there a way to get the same times without power shifting?

I power shift my Vette at the track. Havent broke anything yet (knock on wood) but I also dont go to the track that much either. I see nothing wrong as long as you dont do it all the time and everytime you get in your Vette.

if you slip your clutch while on power, you will get a lot closer to the "clutch pedal stuck to the floor" issue. make sure to maintain your clutch fluid.

not letting go of the gas when you shift. then when you drop the clutch in the next gear you are at higher rpms and higher hp consequently. you have to do it very fast and be sure not to hit the rev limiter.

Hardest on the syncro's. Eventually it will grind going into the gears your power-shift to. Usually second starts and then third immediately thereafter.

Most people don't get the clutch completely disengaged and that is what causes the problems.

Be careful, she will take a lot.......but not too much !
