I put new GHL Bullets on yesterday (thanks Chip) but left the H pipe on. Since there's no HP gain with an x-pipe it seems to me that the H pipe would equalize the flow pretty much the same. True? Not? Any sound difference? Not too worried about more power, just trying to make a stock dd not sound like a Prius for now - may go for headers, x and all later. Thanks.
I also have GHL Bullets (thanks Chip) and put an X- pipe on to help quiet the popping during decelleration. Well, it helped some but was not the cure. Made it a little quieter overall I think. WOT is still the same sound as w/the H pipe. Not worth doing IMO.
A good tune is in my future & that will help quiet the popping.
I believe long tube headers come with X-pipe inc.
I have TPiS LT headers and corsa mufflers but with stock cats and h-pipe -- its in the shop now getting high-flow cats but I'm sticking with the h-pipe ... I think the hp increase is small if any and I like the way it sounds (no popping due to tune but does have some "motorboat")
Some of the "motorboat" sound comes simply from the quad tips. Have a buddy cover either the inside or outside pipes with glove-covered hands and give it a listen.

Don't know how it would work with the GHL bullets, but on my '00 I installed a set of &B Route 66 catbacks and was having a heck of a lot of resonance and popping. I swapped out my H-pipe for a Bassani X-pipe and approximately 95% of the annoyance went away. For me, the X-pipe was well worth the money.
