Getting ready to have coolant tank, fuse box cover, washer tank and fuel rails painted and looking for advice. Has anyone painted the entire tank? I know the vendors sell the top cover leaving the bottom clear. Is there a reason for this besides not being able to see the antifreeze level? Also do most paint the top **** on the fuse box cover? The snap on lid for washer? Pros and cons and pictures welcome. Thanks, Shooter

I would only paint the top of the reservoirs for the reason you mention - being able to see the fluid levels. The painted fuse box cover I had had the **** painted also but the washer cap was not painted.

It's easy to do, but it can be time consuming, depending on what look you want. First word of caution, take your time. I painted mine and have not regreted it at all and saved a ton of money. They look as good today as when I first painted them.

Clean, clean, clean.....or you'll be sorry....
Before you prime or paint...use a paint adhesive (ex..Bulldog)
By lots of various grades of wet/dry sandpaper
Good Luck

Here's pics of what mine looked like:
Thanks JD!! Super looking!! I was thinking probably paint the fuse box **** and leave the washer cap alone.
