Default another hid question...

well after 2 yrs of good operation, my hid's started acting funny and now they don't fire at all, so i ordered a relay harness. since it's for only low beams, could i add fog lamp hid's in the future?

You really should only need 1, but 2 is fine if you want to run them.

An afthermarket HID unit was in my '04 C5 when I got it and acts up occasionally. After a lot of "head scratching" and hit and miss replacment of relays, etc. (even a ballast which wasn't cheap, $100)) I found the problem. In the wiring to the special bulb there is a twist connector that resist you unscrewing it apart. In it is a "brush" type of electrical contact that fries itself over time. For some reason it's the driver side on mine, the passenger side has not been a problem. Next time I'm going to direct wire it and seal it up with double sided waterproof electrical tape.

so my question is... could the single cut wire on the right light have been affecting both headlights? all the connectors appeared ok
