Clear coated wheels?
I have the polished thin spoke wheels on my 04. Are they clear coated or only polished? I was considering using some metal polish (wadding) but if they are clear coated, it won't do anything.

Yes, they are clear coated.
I take mine off once/year and give them a thorough cleaning/polishing/protectant.
In my case that's polish then Z sealant.
Basically use what ever you use on your cars finish.

They are clear coated. DON'T USE NERVER DULL on them. Clean them up with a good wash and spread what ever you use on your paint. I try to do mine about once amonth and the still shine nicely.

If you don't keep them clean, the brake dust can cause the clear coat to degrade. The previous owner of my car didn't keep them clean and they needed stripped and recoated when I replaced them with CCW's.

They are clearcoated from the factory. I don't think I would use any metal polish wadding on the rims - just use the same wax you use on your paint.
