I got admit I saw this on another thread. Is there a way to customize the messages displayed in the DIC mesage center? Something like, GO FASTER! HOLD ON! GET IN HOLD ON SHUT UP! TOP SPEED! That would be kinda fun. Anybody know.

You can customize the DIC greeting on a C6, but not on a C5. Instead - you can read error codes, relearn your fobs and tire pressure monitors without a special tool like you need for a C6.
I'd rather have the capabilities of the C5 than be able to personalize the greeting.....call me crazy.
Being in the IT field, I KNOW their is a way to customize the message on the DIC assuming it's not coded into firmware (even then it's possible but highly risky and troublesome). I've not looked into this at all, but depending on where that information is stored their should be a way. Our hackers can figure out the algorithms to some of the most complicated software, changing a welcome screen shouldn't be a problem.

Umm is that an offer or just throwing your talents in our faces
Thanks it was worth a try. I could have done without the snarky answer.
