Default How do you reset "LOW" Range" on DIC?

When re-setting the FUEL section in the Driver Information Center (DIC), the last item is "RANGE" -- and it consistently reads "LOW" even after a fill-up. Pushing the reset button has no effect. How do you clear it to make "RANGE" operable? (There is no mention of this in the Owners Manual or CF's search option.) Thanks in advance for your input.

It should set its self after fill up. Try resetting your average mpg.

mine always reads low until the next time i restart the car or after approximately 10 minutes after a fill up. don't know if that normal or not, but whenever i've checked it that's the way it has been.

Range is calculated by gallons x avg. mpg. If you're sitting at the pump and reset your avg mpg, it will read 0. 0 mpg x 20 gallons = 0 miles range, hence the "LOW" warning! As soon as you start moving and get your MPG up a bit it will give you a real number.

you should not be waiting until low range until you refill your gas tank.
The fuel pump is in the gas tank and cooled by the gasoline.
Letting the gas continously go to low range means the pump continuously is not cooled shortening its life....

Yes, I've read about that. In my case, tank is currently half-full, and never gets below one-quarter.

If you have a 1/4 to a half of fuel you have other troubles, The low fuel shouldn't come on untill less than 1/16 of a tank. Just a guess.

"Low" fuel is the same as "Reserve" fuel correct?

I never let mine get that low, But I believe there are 2 readings, First you will see low fuel and them a bit later you will see reserve...

He is talking about the range display saying low, not the low or reserve fuel warning. Your car will say "range low" even if you have a full tank if your avg mpg is 0, which it would be if you're sitting at a stop light and reset your avg mpg.

Your car is fine, what I posted above is what's happening to your car.

I think your both saying the same thing only from slightly different perspectives.

Anytime you reset that Ave MPG, Range is set to low until some new values are obtained.

That's correct. When you see reserve - best head to the gas station before long.
