Not hard at all. Park on level ground. the drain for the rear is located on the bottom of the diff. I used a Hex socket (10mm) if I remember correctly on my ratchet to remove the drain plug. Have your pan to collect rear end oil in place. The fill plug is located on the rear of the diff. After draining reinstall drain plug. I picked up a small pump that I could place in the bottle for refill. You will need one small bottle of GM friction modifier unless you use a rear oil that already has it included. The rear will take 1.79 qts. I use Valvoline 80w-90 in my 3:42 because that is what ECS installed when I had the rear swapped. Fill until some oil comes out the fill hole, wipe off excess and reinstall fill plug.
Royal purple makes a good rear end oil but I can't think of ther name of it right off. You will also need a pump to pump it in unless you can figure some way to get the bottle to crunch up into all the stuff that's in the way
Seriously, it's hard to turn the bottle up because of it hitting stuff. You can get a cheap pump from the auto parts store to take care of this.
after you put your oil in be sure you go to an emty parking lot or something and do some fugure eights for a few minutes to distribute the oil into the rearend well.
