Default Corvette Mod thoughts

As of now I have an 01 A4 Coupe DD with a blackwing air filter and vararam powerduct. I also have corsa exhaust and a corsa x-pipe. I don't have a huge budget at the moment, but am looking to plan out my future mods and was looking for some advice... Here is the list of mods that I'm planning on doing. I would appreciate any advice if my list seems out of order or is missing something. (My goal is to eventually get past 425 RWHP or so)

*I am willing to purchase all items used if anyone has any of these for sale or has any ideas on where to find them at good prices*

(Cheaper Mods)
-Mail order tune from ECS
-Ported TB, MAF
-LS6 Intake

(More Expensive)
-Long tube headers
-Cam swap Package *Looking to purchase used items in an attempt to lower cost... Any advice???
-Gear swap to 3:71 ratio

Thanks for your help,
Matt

Where in Dallas are you? There's a huge market for Corvettes here and plenty of local tuners to choose from. If you have a 2001 more than likely you already have the LS6 intake manifold. Swapping the gear won't help you gain any power but, it will make it seem like it. You and I have pretty much the same year/model car. I would be weary of trying to get 425wheel horsepower through a stock A4 though. Depending on the cam, that number does look feasible but I am not sure how livible that might be for a DD.

O I thought that non Z06 vettes had LS1 intake manifolds?

425HP isn't my main focus or anything I just want to try and add a good amount of HP.

From 01 up the LS1 are supposed to have the LS6 intake manifold. Some may or may not from what I have been advised.

Witghwhat you plan, I do not think you will get the 425 rwhp. Also I would be very careful on purchasing a used cam.

All '01-'04 non Z06 Vettes come with the LS6 block and LS6 intake.
