Default T minus 9 hours....

I'm coming up on the moment I have been waiting for since I was 13 years old. I will be taking delivery on my Torch Red 2001 Z06 tonight. I am getting it through Carmax, and just decided to bite the bullet and trade in my Mazdaspeed 3. (Small loss considering that my employee discount gets me the Z06 at $18,100 out the door) 49K miles, paint is in great shape, and its got me singing the George Jones “Corvette” song everywhere I go. Pics when I get it in the driveway tonight!

Well I didnt want to start a new thread, because the weather is crappy and I wont be able to take pictures for a while. I took delivery last night, and wow, talk about an adrenaline rush. The wider body will take some getting used to but overall, this car is a work of art.

The only thing I could think of when I stepped on it for the first time in 1st gear was Frank Barone from Everybody Loves Raymond.....

Congrats!

So the next best day after buying my Z06 was the first day I took it to the track, and the next best day is whenever the next track day is which for me is tomorrow!

Have fun & welcome!

You say the weather is crappy... what part of the country are you in?
It's raining here - has been most of the week!

You might want to consider filling out your profile. Especially the year and type Vette - so if you ask questions others will know how to help better.
