How to replace leather seat back
Does any one know how to replace the leather seat back? The bolster is worn in the usual spot. I also need new padding. I priced a new black leather seat back (Z06) from GM parts direct. It was only $125 plus shipping. I am just wondering if it is something that I could do or would it have to be done by an upholsterer.

hey red. i recently redid my seats and i thought it was pretty easy. i had the standard seat but i upgraded to the sport seat. i got new seat covers and foam from Mid America. when you pull the cover off, just take note as to how the original comes off. also, take your time in putting the new cover on. another thing i would suggest is to put the new cover in the sun for a little while. this will make them more plyable and aid in stretching it over the foam. i also put some speaker carpet over the bolster frame to keep it from cutting through so easily. hope this helps.
