!!! HELP !!! - Can’t get HyperFlash to go away
Flash forward to today… I was trying to do the same thing to a friend’s MY2000 C5 and am having a problem where I cannot get rid of the hyperflash problem. The hyperflash resistors were not supplied in the kit for some reason, so I bought some mil-spec 25W 8 ohm resistors and put my own pigtails on them and sealed them.
When I install 07SilverVette17’s LED brake lights in my friend’s C5, I get the hyperflash situation. I then install the load resistors that I bought onto the same harness lines that I did in my C6 and I still get hyperflash. In short, I am stumped. I wouldn’t have thought the C5 was that different electrically to a C6 when it came to the wiring to the tail light bulbs.
BTW, my friends C5 has the sequential flasher kit installed (but so does my C6).
So, I ask you fellow forum members… Has anyone successfully got 07SilverVette17’s Brake Light LEDs to work on the C5? I know I’ve read threads where this has worked. I am looking for help to see what it is I need to do to get the LEDs to work without having the problem of hyperflash. What value of load resistor should be used (Ohms and Watts please)? What two wires (color code) in the harness should be spliced into with the resistor? Please help!!!
