Default Reinstalling PCM question

For those who have pulled out your PCM I expect you noticed how all the wires that are connected to the two large plugs seem open to the weather
Did anyone coat the wire openings with dialectric grease or something ?

I've had mine out to send to ECS. Reinstalled myself with no dielectric grease. There should be two rubber gaskets to keep out the weather. The gaskets are on the plug ends.

Yep, that is not the area I am talking about......I mean along the sides of the plugs where the wires enter the plug body.

Never had any issues in that area and I don't recall reading about anyone who has.

That is why I am asking.

In the pic, I am talking about where the wires enter the plug

I don't recall that ever being a problem.. even people with acid around the PCM (I had a little) never saw any damage on the wires.
