Placement for the ballast
I've installed hid's for the low beams and the fogs. I need some ideas on where to place the ballasts. I saw a vette with them on top of the wheel cover right behind the headlight. I don't like how that looks. Can someone please give me some ideas as weel as pics? Thanks.

Anywhere where there is room that doesn't stop the lights from operating normal. The C5 has tons of room for ballasts.

What is the most discrete location to install the ballasts? I would assume you need two on each side (one for the HID headlight and one for the fog light).

Most mount them below the lights on the panels down there. They won't be seen.
Yes you will need two on each side if you run both of those.
On my car I have one above the brake duct and one on top of the DRL housing/mount.
Mine has been on the corner mount since I wrote this thread.

If you don't attach them with screws, use some good 3M automotive tape to keep them in place. It worked for me.

...doesn't hurt to throw a zip tie around the whole setup, too...

I think I'll mount them on the brake duct. Thanks.
