Default Speed Humps

We now have almost $900,000 worth of speedhumps in our town according to the local newspaper. Several are on the way to my friend's home. She wants to see my new to me vette and I want to see the car they are restoring. Any advice about approaching or going over speedhumps?

If you arent lowered rediculously just slow down and you should be fine.

If you're lowered take the humps slow and at a steep angle. You will almost have only one wheel on the top of the hump at a time.

If you are lowered real far you may want to look into some products from the vendors to help prevent damage to your car from scrapping.

It's not rocket science (or really that C5 Tech), slow down and/or drive over them at an angle...

I think there are some sort of restrictions on speed bumps (Federal.... Dept. of Transportation) esp. if your muncip. accepts Fed. hiway funds anybody know anything bout this?? from what I remember they discourage/frown upon it as they resrtict the smooth flow of trafic and sometimes arre actually more a danger than a help and are usually put there at the request of a select group and the general population pays for it.... think about it over the course of say five years every car slows and accelerates over that thats a lot of wasted gas to appeasee a select group which would be better spent on law enforcement to prosceute whomever rather than make everybody else pay

Just put huge speed humps in at the college, I drive the long way around campus to avoid them because they are like parking bumpers

Speed humps or speed bumps, what ever you want to call them...suck Frame rails are a must if your car is lowered. But like the other posters stated, slow down and take them at an angle.

God, I hate speed bumps. We've got about a quadrillion in my town. I usually take the long route to avoid them, on account that I can't make it over most of them
