Every corvette I see has running light in the amber front markers, but mine never turn on. The blinkers work fine, but even when I click the lights to the first... click, they don't turn on.

The blinkers are a seperate bulb. Have you checked/ replaced the light bulbs?

I was wondering if it was separate. They probalby just need to be replaced. THey haven't worked since I got the car so I wasn't sure. Anyone happen to know the bulb it needs? I'm gonna be doing some work on my car this weekend anyway.
I haven't tried this out myself to verify that it works, but the last owner may have done the following (found on another forum)...should be easy to check and might save you a lot of time changing out bulbs.
Simply remove fuse #2 under the hood and your DRLs will be out permanently. Only thing affected is that when you unlock at night using the key fob your front turn signal lights and back up lights will not will not flash. Your front turn signals will operate normally, however.
EDIT: Nevermind, you mentioned that turning the lights on (first stop on the stick) doesn't turn them on either, so this probably isn't your issue.

Front Sidemarker light bulb size: 194/yellow(or amber)

Check your fuses and relays first. If the lights don't turn on when you switch them on, then it may not be your bulbs. This would also be easier to check first before pulling out the bulbs.
interogate the DIC.
When I pulled fuse #2 as in one of the posts above, it set some codes.
might get you on the right track if a fuse was pulled or relay disabled, which is another way to do the same thing, without turning off the reverse lights when unlocking the car.
I'll check the DIC. I know there are some codes, but mainly for other things in my engine... lol.
What was the combo to get the codes again? hod 1 and press 4 four times or somethign?
