I think the GM/Delco Red wires work best for fitment. Many cars here have them.
MSD's are supposed to have a higher temp jacketing but don't fit quite as nice. Not that it's a problem, just the boots are a little long. I have the MSD's with headers and am happy with them.
I'm running MSD 8.5mm wires, with the stock metal heat shields back over the plugs and a set of KoolSox shields for extra protection. All done with a set of NGK plugs at the same time.

I've tried most of them and seem to always have problems with the wire on the drivers side can't remember the #. My mechanic has recommended Magnacors.
I have a home made metal sleve on that wire right now. I think I'll try Magnacores next.
GMPP red wires and plugs from Gene. Been on about 6 months or so. Had to pull them off and replace the header gaskets last week. They slid off smooth, and looked like they had just come out of the box.

Same here. It's the #5 wire on the driver's side. It's the only one that burns in half. This time I went with MSD and I agree with nj02vette, the boots are a little too long. I also use KoolSox covers on my wires. In order to try to protect #5 this time, I gave it double protection. I put two KoolSox covers on the wire. I guess time will tell.
