which is the best? higher number the better resistance to corrosion? im guessing the number has something to do with the chromium content?

I have the Corsa Pace Cars on mine now. No drone and when you go WOT, you know it. That said, the B&B Bullets are a very good system too.

304 SS

I think what you will find is that a lot of manufacturers use 200 and 400 series on the pipes and cans, 304 on the tip sections...

Borla's are 100% stainless. The problem is that there are just too many good choices. All aftermarket exhausts are an improvement on the stock mufflers and all allow for some marginal gain in hp. Best to drive around with as many folks as possible to decide for yourself. Their all good but all a bit different.

Had Borla Stingers on my 2000 Coupe. Loved the deep throaty sound but the drone/resonance was horrible.

Currently have Corsa Extreme with X-pipes on 2003 Z06. Not quite as throaty as the Borlas, but still has a nice muscular note, especially at WOT, and no drone.
