You have to learn how to use it to get the best out of it. Use the monitoring tool to see how it's running and adjust it from there. I liked the tune it put in, but once I used the monitoring to tailor it to my car, wow did it make a difference....
It says be careful, it doesnt say dont do it. They have to cover themselves in case you go monkeying around and kill something. If you make it a bit too rich and then SLOWLY dial it back to where it's happy, and SLOWLY dial in timing until the knock sensors activate, then dial it back a touch... You should be fine.
If you google Predator tuning, there are a number of good write-ups on how to do it. You can always PM me as well, but I am far from a guru on this. I was successful with mine, but mine is the only one I've done.
The tool records your factory tune. If you ever take it to the dealer you can flash back the factory tune, after the dealer work is complete you can re-install the predator tune back.
