Hey guys,
Have you guys ever heard of Yahoo Autos being kind of like a middle man in a car buying experience. This "seller" that i'm talking to says that you pay Yahoo Autos a down payment (a big down payment, like $20k) and then the seller will send you the car once the payment is approved so you can look it over for a period of 7 days to decide if you want it or not. If you want to keep the car then you send the rest of the money to Yahoo Autos and it will be transferred to the sellers account. Second of all it's an 08 Z06 for $35,000. 3rd, i checked the carfax and the last place it's been registered is in VA but the car is in Boston. 4th, the guys area code is Washington State but once again the car is in Boston.
Yahoo does not provide escrow services. Legitimate escrow services do exist, yahoo is not one of them. 08 Z06 for $35,000? Move on unless you want to fund some scam artist. Ask to see the car in person...

I would go with your first instinct(scam) and stay away. Why take a chance
Talk to the seller and tell him you that you will fly to where the car is and take a look at the car. Heck for that price you could actually afford to do that.
If you send them $20 or 20K, that's the last you'll see of that money. Had a similar scam when I tried to sell my 93. I was to send them the differance of a check the buyer had written over the actual price. When they got the $5k, they would pick up the car and give me the check. It's a scam, I'm sure
