I have C-6 wheels on my C-5. [aftermarket - chrome] This winter the car will be stored in a cool place. What can I spray on the wheels to protect the chrome? I plan on installing new tires in the spring so I don't mind doing some clean-up and polishing at that time.

they should be fine.
It cant get any colder than our Wisconsin winters and there is not one mark on my C6 aftermarket wheels being stored for the last 4 years now.

The only wheels that would need additional protection during winter storage are non-clearcoated polished aluminum...don't ask me how I know! Your chrome wheels are actually way more corrosion resistant than any other surface finish out there...this is based on the triple nickel layers just below the surface of the chrome, which is very thin and for decoration only.
