Newbie question

Hello all,

I am currently in the market for a C5 Z06, and reside in SoCal so was wondering what mods I will need to stay away from when looking at out-of-state C5 Z06 vettes that have been modded

to ensure a car I end up buying will pass the CA emission standards.

no longtube headers, no CAI's that are not CARB approved, watch out for loud catbacks, almost no aftermarket camshafts will pass smog, I'm sure someone else will chime in with more info

move to the S.E no worries with all that emission crap! On a serious note GL with the search there are plenty of unmodded cars for the taking!!

Thanks for the advise gents. Would love to pick up a Z06 with good mods as there are plenty for sale right now, but don't want to have to put it back to stock just to pass the CA smog test.

Move out of CA.
