Ye Ol Window Up and Down Issue - Post Script
well I have had the random issue with the passenger window that would stop working... currently it is working and has for 3 - 4 months....
The drivers window started to make a grinding noise and I did not believe that was going away. I researched getting a new one... $350 - $500. I had one shipped to me from GM Parts Warehouse for around $177.
A lot of advice on the Forum said it was not a big deal to replace it and I am sure I could... schedules prevented me from having the time. I called several glass places and settled on Service King in South Fort Worth (TX). They were very helpful. Dropped the car off at 0900 and had it back at 1300.... all for $88 dollars....
The point is do your research and look around... fixing these finicky beasts does not have to be a big issue even if you don't have the time to turn the wrench yourself....
