Amazing what 1 bad spark plug does
Cleaned the vette up sun and took it out through some back country roads and ran it hard , Mon came around and as i was driving the car to work it started running like crap!!!! backfiring studdering etc after some research on the forum it came down to either plugs wires or possibly a coil..Well went and bought some new plugs today as the ones in the car were the originals and behold one of the plugs had a crack in the ceramic. Got all the new ones in and fired it up took it ofr a spin and all is good once again. As is due a big thanks to the forum

Changed my plugs and went to the red wires on the Vette last year. What a difference. Maybe it's just my mindset but, it runs like a champ.
Recently, my '00 Explorer did the chugging, shuddering bit and check engine came on. Put new plugs in but trouble remained. Went to Advance Auto and their reader said, #3 misfire. Replaced #3 wire but trouble remained. Really getting frustrated at that point.
Talking with another car nut it quickly became apparent, I'm too use to working on the Vette. The GM system is 1,3,5,7, front to back on the driver's side. Ford is 1,2,3,4, on the passenger side. Now have all new plugs and 2, count em, 2 new plugs wires. Running fine now, and I'll recover.

Mine wasn't really running bad,,but about a year and a half ago thought it wouldn't be a bad idea as there was about 55k on it. Old plugs had gaps all over the place! New plugs and wires and BOY what a difference!!
