Quick question for those of you running LED switchbacks on your front corner lights...
When the DRLs are on, what color do they display; white or amber?
I know when the turn signal is engaged, the amber color is on, however are there any legal issues regarding the white DRL color? I read the earlier thread about how clear corner units are illegal, however am I correct in my interpretation of the LED switchback look?
Also (second question) is whether LED Switchbacks can be used in stock corner light housing or do you need a special corner light assembly.

Will they work with stock or aftermarket corner housings?
The DRL's are amber when operating during the day with headlights or parking lights off. Parking lights or headlights on - they are white, but flash amber with turn signals or hazard flashers.
The LED's will work with the stock or aftermarket housings, because the LED unit plugs into the lamp receptacle just like the incandescent bulb it replaces. It's the receptacle that twists into the back of the housing, not the bulb.
I went the exact same setup: black housings (from corvetteguys) with LED swbks and the bypass harness (from Corvette enhancements). you shouldn't have any problems. as far as legal issues, i think as long as the DRLs are either white or amber, it's good. I've heard of some people just using all white LEDs w/clear corners.
