Default Follow up on Eckler's problem

Still no contact from Ecklers to my two emails about the shipping charges which does not surprise me. Of the 55 responses to "Got royal screw*** from Ecklers", (the thread is locked so I started a new one) , only about 5 or 6 were in any way favorable to Eckler's.

I purchase stuff from them when it's convenient only because they are local to me. I have also had some problems with getting parts ordered and was told it's on backorder from the manuf. After about two weeks of this story from Ecklers, I then called the manuf to inquire about the backorder only to find out it wasn't on backorder at all.

I never had a problem with them but I will say that I only order from them as a last resort.
They are kinda like the Walmart of Vette parts. IMO

I've dealt with them in the past and had no issues. Good luck with resolving yours.

I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to read my Ecklers thread before you ordered. I would not wish the headaches on anyone. BTW, you definitely need to call them rather than email, they never responded to a single one of my emails and it took 3 or 4 months to get almost all of my money back.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...r-ecklers.html

Also, I can't remember why you had said you were sending back the product but their policy is NOT to refund the shipping costs or the return shipping costs (as with most companies). I was told they would refund all of it since I repetatively tried to cancel my order and yet was unable to. I received it 3 months later and sent it back. After more phone calls and arguing that they hadn't credited the shipping back I finally got my money minus the sales tax on the shipping for some reason.

Good luck, but it doesn't look very optimistic.

That would mean actual physical work. (holding the phone to your ear.) emailing and waiting for a reply is more peaceful and serene.

It's good to see these threads. Many people transition from other automobile brands/forums. As a small business owner myself, I don't always condone the negative comments of a business on boards. However, after doing a quick search, it seems that this thread holds merit and should be allowed to continue, thus, saving and informing new corvette owners. I think this sponsor has gone past the point of one incorrect bashing thread, and this now is a legitimate concern to forum members. Many of us need parts for our aging cars, and this is one member that I will not be buying from them.

Careful now. Eckler's is a sponsor of this website and this thread will be locked.

They ARE the worst of the vendors, I've learned MY lesson with them in one transaction.

Yeah, I was gonna say I've never had a problem with Walmart. Always tons of stock (and free shipping to store if not). No fighting when you go to return stuff and the best prices anywhere. I f'king love WalMart!

Ecklers on the other hand will never receive my money again... too many bad experiences with them.
