HUD Help.. Need the Projector..loooong
Hi. Bought a 01 Z06 last week and want to put a HUD in it,,
Read just about everything there is to read about it on here and its
something I can think I can handle BUT I have call the GM/Corvette
dealers in Calgary Alberta about ordering the projector,bezel, switch. I gave them the part number 10279814 for the projector,, This is the part number I have seen on here when people order the part..
GM Parts books in Canada show this part being the whole instrument
panel,, Everthing, the speedo,tach every gauge you see... And to add
to that they wont order it Unless your car has been totalled off/burnt/stolen/wrecked because the part has a new speedo and
ODOMETER and your mileage would show zero miles and its against
the law to replace your odometer.. And even IF you had written off car
and were allowed to order it,its $1800.. WOW
People on here have said why bother with a used one from ebay
beacause in the United states they are under $300 from GM.. I have looked at a couple dealers in the U.S. that people n this forum have ordered from and they will Not ship to Canada,, That sucks huge..
So Im needing some help guys,,
How do I get the projector? Im fine paying the shipping, Taxes,the difference in the dollar all that stuff but
How do I get it??

So make a road trip to the states and pick up the parts in person - no shipping needed. Just find a dealer across the border that would be willing to order the parts for you.
