I remember reading awhile back that there is supposed to be an update to the design of the midpipe on the headers that solves the issues with the current O2 sensors. Has anyone heard if the update has been made yet?
I really haven’t paid attention to the OBX threads recently. What was the O2 problem?
if you keep the rear o2 sensors the anlgle of them causes the o2 sensors to hit the tunnel plate
one of two options are needed
drill about a 2 inch hole for them to clear
or
have them deleted like some do.
its not a big problem but some are concerned about drilling the hole in the tunnel plate.
i drilled a hole for mine when installing

Is the tunnel plate a part of the chassis that cannot be removed?

No, it comes out in about 2 minutes. It just has about 30 tiny bolts that hold it in. Cutting it is not a big deal. You can always picked up a used one from a wrecked car or buy another one if you need to go back to stock.
are these any good for the corvette? the OBX limited slips & headers are junk for the honda platforms {i like autocrossing FWD} naturally it would make me cautious on the c5. anyone try the fit, quality or power production?

Quite a few people have tried these headers with no problems on fitment at all on fitment. Made with the same metal as the high-dollar guys and the mandrel bends look identical to those of other high-dollar brands that I won't name. So far the only differences seem to be the price.

No complaints on my car. I have sold dozens of sets of these headers since May and no complaints...at least made to me anyways
