Soo yeah I have been hearing noises on near lock turns and it turns out that the inside edge of my front wheels has been rubbing the brakelines and aftermarket cooling ducts... What do I have to do to fix this? They have sliced nice chunks of of my LG cooling ducts, the lower conrol arm is sliced and the stainless steel brakelines are taking a beating, not to mention the inside edge of the wheel is beat up now. The wheels are 17x10 CCW classics with 57mm offset, but this was also occurring with my stock wheels, because I noticed the inside of my stock wheels was polished from rubbing when I took them off to mount the CCWs...
Raise the car like the guy in your other thread said.
Whatever you do I would do something soon. If the wheels are rubbing on the brake line that is serious. You do not want the brake line to fail. A buddy of mine had a brake line fail at the SCCA Solo Nationals on course because the tire rubbed a hole in it. If that would have happened on the street something bad very well could have happened.
I don't see how raising it would alleviate the problem. If I could limit how far the wheels could turn, that would help... Spacers could work, but they would have to be pretty big considering that it was also rubbing with the stock wheels... I could maybe disconnect the brake lines and move the inside the control arm, but the wheels will still hit the outside edge of the arms...
