Default Tire stagger question

From the data I've collected the diameter of my current setup (Stock 04 Z06) is:
25.3" front
26.1" rear
Difference being .8"

Possible new setup would be .9" stagger

Anyone experience any issues changing the stagger by .1"???
I'm guessing it won't be an issue but would just like to confirm.

Thanks in advance,
Val

Won't make any difference.

You will be fine with that change.

Main thing is if you change to different tire sizes, try to increase or decrease the front and the rear the same amount. This will maintain the original stagger the computer looks at for active handling.

This is a great tire/wheel calculator. You can figure out what sized tires are closest to the stock circumference here.
http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp?postId=906

I ended up going with 275/30/19, and 305/30/19. I have no active handling issues and many other folks use this size combo for 19/19 setups.

Stock Z06 tire circumference (Using calculator above):
Front = 2022mm
Rear = 2082mm

My 19/19 setup circumference now (Using calculator above):
Front = 2038mm (added 16mm over stock)
Rear = 2094mm (added 12mm over stock)

You can see above that I am very close to stock circumference. I am just a smidgen bigger on both the front and rear. Main thing is to try to increase or decrease the front and rear the same to maintain the factory stagger.

I've read that dropping below a .5" variance from front to rear will cause the TC to act up.

I exceeded that threshold by about .75" At one time my rears were 1.8" taller than the fronts, and there were no codes/TC problems. As far as that goes, the standard sizes are almost an inch difference.

I haven't heard about any TC issues when going larger than stock diameter...only when the front and rear diameters are less than .5" of each other.
