memory seats causing a/c to turn off
what would cause my a/c to turn off and on when I hit the memory button for my seats. I wouldnt think these things would be related
the car is a 2001 vert

The memory buttons store mirror position, AC temp, radio stations, seat position, and wheel position(might do more). Every time you hit the button it is restoring what is in the memory. Try to turn the AC on to the desired temp and then reprogram your memory by holding the button down. Hope this fixes your issue.
Get your settings to where you like them, and re-save your memory settings. Since I'm the only one that drives my car, i have the memory set on all three haha

Don't feel like too much of an idiot as I sometimes have trouble with mine (loose connection or something) as I close my drivers door and the fan speed changes. I don't think about it until I see the mirror has moved. But nothing else has...seat, steering, etc.

I just learned this fact last week in another thread. I spent the first part of the fall (cooler weather) swearing at the AC and wondering why it was blasting (from the warmer months of summer) every time I turned on the car. Felt like an idiot and by reading through threads I find that this car is much smarter than I am.
