Default Value help on my 1999 FRC?

Just curious what the good ol' CF feels my car is worth in it's current state.

Basics
-Pewter 1999 FRC
-65k mi
-Magnesium wheels
-No options(No HUD, base seats, base hvac)
-New tires(Nitto 555 stock sizes) less than 5k miles ago, no burnouts on them.
-Front end just re-painted due to valet mishap(500mi since paint, no rock chips)
-Interior fully sound deadened
-No rips/tears/cracks in any interior pieces, typical slight rub mark on driver's side seat bolster

Modifications
-Ipod hookup
-Kooks longtube headers and x-pipe(have both catted and offroad x)
-GHL Bullets
-Vararam intake
-LS6 intake manifold
-Brand new Monster 3.5 clutch/slave cylinder/remote bleeder/TT bushings(done professionally 400mi ago)

Bad(I believe in full disclosure)
-Chipped paint in both front wheels(look fine 10ft away @ 10mph)
-4"x4" area of what looks like the beginnings of clear coat peeling(hasn't changed in the 2 years I've had the car)
-Car has been raced in the 1/4 mile for a total of 48 passes(I keep a log of every pass)

I'm not planning on selling this year but was considering it for next spring(buying a house this winter and it will be easier to get into the swing of mortgage payments without the temptation to modify/race the corvette)

MAN that is my cars TWIN, except for the BSM & mine is a '00...

I would say 18K tops. They have really come down in price, but the FRC & Mags are nice. Alot ppl dont' like them, but that is what sold me on mine.

Mine....

I'd say $10-12k. Unfortunately for you, FRCs are worth the least of any type.

If you ever want to sell the intake and exhaust systems for nice and cheap let me know ;-)

Nice FRC!
I was thinking 18k was a bit high, from some quick autotrader looking I assumed 16-17k

10-12k with 65k miles?! You serious?

And with the PITA I went through to install the headers, they will NEVER be removed by me unless it's with a sawzall.

Keep in mind that some people that are looking to purchase, put a cap in their searches , weather ebay or autotrader , of a certain dollar figure cap. I for example, cap it at $15K, since I do not want to spend more than $10K'ish... and don't want to wast my time making on offer to someone who "believes" his priceced car is worth $17K-$18K... let it sit their unsold.... market is not turning around for these cars any time soon, plus, 2010 is around the corner and that will be "a year older" that the cars are and less $ can be had for the same yr car...

KBB puts it at $12k. The mods could add another grand if you find someone who plans to do them anyway. If you have time to wait I wouldn't even list it above $15k to start but if you wanted to sell withing a month then I don't think you'd get more than 13k for it.

It is a nice car but it is 11 years old and unfortunately FRCs are worth the least. I'm not trying to be mean, just realistic.

Also, many people will pass after you mention that you take it to the strip fairly regularly. People want a car that has been babied not pushed.

If you are looking on places like autotrader and ebay make sure you look at cars that have SOLD not that are for sale if you want to know how much you will actually get.

I'd say $14-15K - the trips down the strip would be a negative for me.

Thanks, this was far more informative than the other post stating 10-12k... it seemed like he was just trying to get some cheap mods off of me. I fully understand on the dragstrip thing, but a quick search will show that I've raced it, and I'd hate to be accused of not disclosing that fact.

I'd be happy to get something in that price range. Again I'm not going to hide the fact that it was raced, but for what it's worth, these cars are extremely resiliant, and this particular car is one of the strongest stock internal LS1 vettes on this forum. Second quickest 6spd LS1 Vette on the forum!

Make sure you change your avatar before posting it here.

Don't bother posting on this forum, it will NEVER sell (even with a free HOT blonde in the passenger seat and bag of blow in the center console) unless it beats out 1000 other c5s.

With 65k miles I think you can get 16-17 autotrader or eBay..

I would say 14-15k max.

I almost bought a 98 Coupe M6, 28k miles for 17k (18 out the door).

With that many miles and the fact that you can't get sun on the top of your head (as stated above) it isn't an easy sale.

I wanted an FRC or Z06... but the wife wanted removable top so I had to compromise with a coupe .
