Whats your way of cleaning your micro fiber towels? I've been told to wash on gental cycle and just hang to dry. Interested in other opinions.

If you use them to apply or buff off wax, I hand wash mine in hot water with dawn dishwashing liquid, and dry in the dryer on 'fluff'.

Didn't know there was a special method. I guess that's why they stay oily after a cycle in the washer LMAO.

I don't wash them. I just buy pkgs of 36 at Costco for $16.00.
When they start getting dirty, I save them for cleaning rockers, wheel wells, exhaust tips, then toss em.
Call it a waste...maybe.

Only tip is to wash them separately with other MF towels. That's all I do and they have stayed pretty nice.

When they originally came out the big part of the no no was NO FABRIC SOFTENER!! Washing would be OK as long as no softener is added,,that is why hang drying is recommended,,good chance there is softener residue in the dryer as most folks use dryer sheet softeners!! It is supposed to ruin the absorbent quality of the micro fibers.

Not the recommended way I'm sure. I just put them in with the terry cloth shop towels and wash them all in one load.

I know, I know, not recommended.

Just posting to say, they all work fine for me

Terry for general cleaning (interior, whatever)
The MF ones just to take wax off

I dont use a towel to dry, leaf blower followed by chamois.

But I do have to add that I very rarely use a quick detailer (spray and wipe) and I dont wipe it when its dry, if its dirty at all I just wash it.

Ya, I wash it a lot (black car syndrome).

I have about 50 micro fiber towels and wash them with unscented liquid laundry detergent. I have towels that I use for waxing, cleaning the wheels, general cleaning with detail spray, etc. I never wash the micro fiber towels that I use for waxing with anything else. Once a towel gets dirt on it that won't come out in the wash, I only use it for cleaning my wheels.

I wash my micro fibers twice. Once with just a little soap in warm water and the second time just in water. I also use the extra rinse cycle both times, and add a little vinegar the second time to get rid of any soap residue.

This is a whole lot easier. Only thing different is, I shop BJ's, $14. and change.

I wash mine in the washing machine with Woolite. I do not mix them with any of the other towels. I do put them in the drier and no problems.

As an Adam's dealer - I sell the super plush Adam's towels, which I happen to think are the nicest towels available. The packs of towels that can be purchased at Costco or Wal Mart are cheap throw aways, that I probably wouldn't bother washing. I use them for chrome on wheels, exhaust tips, and things that aren't prone to scratching.

When I wash the Adam's towels, I wash them in liquid detergent - no fabric softener and hang them to dry. The reason for the no fabric softener is because it leaves a residue on the towels and smears on the finish. If you wash them separately from other cotton towels, you don't get the lint all over the micro fiber.

I know I'll hear from people here saying that they would never spend $7.50 on a single towel when the can buy a whole package of 24 or 36 towels for about $15.....but some people are happy wearing a Timex watch while others wear Omega - they both tell time.

When you're ready to step up to the best - I carry the towels in stock.

I wash them in a separate load and hang dry them. That's about it.

Wash them in my washing machine on hot, with detergent and dawn, machine dry, which causes them to shrink a bit, but oh well.

Never noticed a decline in performance.
