Default question about programming seats

Hey everyone,

I have had my vette for two days and I am very much in LOVE with it. I've never had a car that was this much fun to drive! My only "complaint" so far is that when I hit to unlock the doors it moves the drivers seat almost all the way forward so each time before I get in it I have to make the seat go back to where it was when I was in it last. Is there a way to disable the memory feature? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Lee,

You don't have to disable the seat memory, just set the seats where you like them and then hold the memory button until the light goes out to reset it.

Depending on which key FOB you use, it may reset them to that respective "number" position. And if you don't want the seat to go the whole way back when you shut it down, turn the "easy exit" or whatever its called OFF in the Options via the DIC.

These are horrible instruction I know but its in the owners manual. If you didn't get one with your car, spend the $30 as its definitely worth it!

Enjoy your new ride! The best days of my life were the first hundred miles in my Vette!!! Don't tell my wife I said that as I tell her it was our wedding day...yeah, right!

Lee, just make sure that the # on you key fob is the same # you use on the memory button on the door. I grabed the wrong one and the seat went way up. You'll love the memory setting. Best option on the car. (not really) LOL

Good luck with your new toy!

Thanks for the info everyone. I'll try to mess with it tomorrow to figure it out. I only received one remote with the car. I'll get out there in the morning and try to get something figured out with it.

The first post that I read said your seat goes all the way forward when you unlock the doors, if thats the case its backwards, but it could have been a typo though.

Within the last 2 months I bought a C5. OMG....... The best advice I received was to sit down and read the Owner's Manual. Also, on this website I believe under the 'Tech' section there is a 'sticky' (permanent post ??) that talks about a boat-load of things and tricks the C5 will perform. Priceless......... I found it:

Have fun, but take it real easy. About half the new owners of Vettes wreck them in some shape or fashion within the first weeks of ownership.

No that's what it actually does. Knowing my luck it figures that it's backwards.
