You'll have to have your actual milage inputted to the new cluster, OR swap the main mother board out of your old unit into the new one, which is waht I would recommend since you're in France.
Good luck and nice looking Z!
Hi Tstar,
Happy New Year to everyone from France
I found this link http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...post1570380674
So mother crossing is interesting if you change for i.e C5 US cluster for C5 Z06 US cluster. Speed Indication still 0-200
I'm not sure that it could work from US to EU due to the different speed indication . Could you confirm ?
Thanx
Does someone could confirm or not the following info.
Mileage is stored in the cluster's mother board AND in the BCM ?
Yes or NO ?
If I change my actual cluster with 6500 Miles on it by a brand new one with 0 mile > The BCM will "give" the actual stored mileage to the new cluster (6500 + 0= 6500)
YES / NO ?
If it's true I don't have to cross mother boards.
Thanks for your help and confirmation as well.
JM
This is pretty basic but in case it has been overlooked. You can simply press the E/M button on the DIC to make the stock speedo read metric. You know that right?
If you still want to change the cluster you can at least drive with Km showing on the road if it is more comfortable for you in France until you do the swap. With pressing the switch you have up to 200 Km per hour to work with which should be ok most of the time.
