Default Standing mile

I don't know if any of you guys made it out to the standing mile that was run Sun. Oct 11th. It was held at the Dade Collier airport in southern Fl.
It was a standing start measured mile. It was the first time they ran it so it was a little disorganized. But got better as the day went on.
Lot of vettes. Top speed a turbo porsche and twin turbo mustang 216 mph. Some of the bikes were in the 180-190 range. Vettes were in 160-170.
They have another one Jan 17th 2010.

There web site is milemarker-1.com. If you go in the site look under[list of cars preforming] and it will give you the car and speed.

Have a good one,,Rapid

Sounds great. 1 mile runs really show off power and aerodynamics. What time did you run?

I was there and it was disorganized.
I heard that speeds were varified with a TOM TOM and a old
police gun.(radar detector).
You don't believe your speedo is very accurate over 100mph
do you?????
I may go back but I will wait till things are more refined.
It was a 130 degrees on the tarmack. OH BOY..
WHAT FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like fun. 216 mph in a standing mile - that's moving down the road.
