Default DIC Codes

Can someone tell me what these codes mean? Pretend like you are talking to someone who knows very little about cars and the inner workings please.

10 PCM - P1626

28 TCS - C1281 / C1286 C / C1288

A RADIO - U1016

AO LDCM - B2276

BO RFA - U1096 / U1064

i GOGGLED THE HELL OUT OF THEM, BUT WASNT ABLE TO LEARN MUCH. IM INTERESTED IN KNOWING WHAT CAUSED THEM, AND WHAT I NEED TO DO TO FIX THEM.

DOES ANYONE KNOW A WEBSITE THAT MIGHT BREAK DOWN WHAT EACH OF THE CODES MEAN?

ONE LAST QUESTION, WHEN IT RAINS, THE DRIVERSIDE FLOOR GETS WET. ANY IDEAS WHY?

p1626 theft deterrent system fuel enable circuit, c1281 steering sensor uncorrelated malfunction, c1286 steering sensor bias malfunction, c1288 (no code found) u1016 loss of communication with pcm, b2276 door lock motor/mirror heater fit, u1096 loss of communication with ipc, u1064 loss of communication with bcm. You can find all the codes at http://www.stengel.net/diccodes.htm I printed all of the codes out and keep them in a three ring binder so I can take them anyplace. Good luck!

Ya know, those codes usualy have a suffix (H = history, it was set at some time in the past but is not currently set or C = currently set (problem exists now))

You might want to take another look, see which are current, and for that matter reset them all and see what comes up.

No sense in chasing problems that arent still there

You have any yellow lights (specificaly the swervy vette) on the dash?

And regarding the water in the car, you didnt specify if it was a vert or a coupe, but either can have its own problems.

Take a look at the weather stripping, also there is a window tip in adjustment that you can do to tighten up the fit of the window at the top. But realy just grasping at straws without further info.

Good luck

All of the codes are history ones, except for the one that has a C after it.

I should have been more specific as I know what the codes mean, I have the same list saved. What I was asking is what do they mean to ME. For example, b2276 means "door lock motor/mirror heater fit", but does that mean my door lock motor isnt working? It seems to be working just fine. What is a mirror heater? What doesnt it fit?

No yellow lights, and my car is the one in the picture. Its a targa top C5. The window area leaks some times when it rains or im getting a car wash, but whatever is causing my floor to get wet isnt related. When the weatherstripping on my window leaks, it gets my seat a little wet. On the other hand, when i get up in the morning after its been raining at night, there is a puddle of water on my floor. There might be water on my seat as well, but I know why that is there already.

Basicaly you have to remove the reflector on the inside door trim and a plug on the bottom face of the door. Then you will see a bolt with a locking bolt on it, loosen locking bolt, turn the other one and it tips the top of the window in or out.

Tools Required:
#6 Inverted TORX® Socket
10mm socket

1. Position the window fully up.
2. Remove the large access plug from under the front of the door.
3. Loosen the window regulator front channel mounting nut.
4. Remove the reflector from the trim panel
5. Loosen the jack screw jam nut.
6. Adjust tip in with the jack screw. Turn the jack screw clockwise to tip the window outward. Turn the jack screw counterclockwise to tip the window inward. One turn of the screw equals approximately 1 N·m (0.04 in) change at the top of the window.
7. Tighten the jack screw jam nut.
8. Lower the window.
9. Tighten the window regulator channel front mounting nut.
10. Raise the window and check the alignment.
11. Install the access plug under the front of the door.
12. Install the reflector in the door trim panel.
