There is research that shows in order to maintain safety above 180-ish a different hood is required as the air build up under the hood begins to "lift" the front end.
I have a nice Excel spreadsheet orignally made by a forum member, John Neese. It calculates speeds in gears at RPMs. HP not a consideration. You input tire size and gears and RPM redline of your choice.
If you would like a copy, email me at mcmlxiii@hotmail.com , and I'll send it to you.
The ZR1 will do 205 mph (stock). That's 640 crank HP, probably about 550 to the wheels. That obviously didn't occur after one mile. And the ZR1 has a higher drag coefficient than the C5 does.
475RWHP, I would say high 190's. Maybe 200 considering the drag coeff.
If the top speed is 172 @ 6000 rpm in 5th gear
And he can rev all the wa to 6800 rpm thats a increase of almos 15% in the rpms
IMO he would be able to go 172 + 15% which is ~197. he probably have enough horse power for that.
I would say at least 190
