Does anyone have any of these style sill protectors? I like the white on black but can't tell how long they are? They look very short from this picture.
I have the clear ones with black lettering. They do help protect the sill. However, the first year they stayed snug (gripper strip on the inside edge) then the plastic kinda relaxed so they tend to slide back and forth now. If they are back away from the front post when you close the door, they will shatter. I tried using a couple of velcro dots to try to hold them in place but the velco pops loose from the sill when you remove them for cleaning.

I have the clear with white lettering and I've got a couple of left over right sides because of what PierEagle describes.
I got a set of the clear with black letters, but I was not sure if they might damage the sills if they are in place and vibrate/rub for a lot of miles.
Does anybody have experience to say they do or don't cause damage?
I have the clear(er) ones and they do the job they are intended to do. The are long enough, but do move a bit.
I put some little pads on the corners of mine and all is okay.
They are UGLY, but do work quite well.
These were on the car when we bought it from the PO and I wasn't sure about them at first. But Mrs. Patches heels are hard on sills so I'm thankful they are there. We're on the second set and the driver's side is looking rough again due to her shoes scuffing them when she gets in/out. She does the same to my Hummer when she drives it so I'm looking for the equvalent for that car. I just picked up an almost new set here to replace her current set when they're done.
I don't use any on my vette since I'm careful not to scuff the sill when I get in.

These are the same one's I have on my car. Mine have a long piece of velcro attached on the inside edge that grips the carpet and holds them in place. They have never been a problem and really protect the sill.

Sorry, just noticed this thread...
These are a nice alternative to hard plastic sill plates.
The Cleartastic sill protectors are 26" long. Protects a large portion of the painted area. http://store.tkoperformance.com/cl99sipr.html
Great by itself or great to use under the hard plastic sill protectors to prevent scuffs if the paint.

I have a set of the sill protectors only in the clear with black letters. They cover the area that is most likely to come in contact with shoes, etc. as you get in/out of the car. They seem to do a very good job of protecting the sill area, but I do think that they eventually rub a bit on the painted surfaces - nothing major but still you notice a mark there.
They work well but also started to notice very slight wear marks. Put felt strips under the contact points and it's effective but not that pretty. Was thinking of cutting them down or getting the ones that just cover the plastic rail which is most susceptible to heel marks etc.
