Drove the car to work this morning with no problem.(01 z06).
This afternoon as I drove to the store as soon as I get to the corner of the street ofmy house, I'm about 22mph in 1st gear, as I let go off the gas I begin to hear a loud rattleing noise coming from under the car. I pull off to the side and I put it in nutral and give it a little rev while I look under the car and the noise seems to come from the catalytic converter on the drivers side. I drive the car and motor seems fine and I only hear the noise at lor rpm when letting my foot off the gas. I get home and get a wood stick and put it on the cat while my ear is on the stick and sure enought the noise seems to come from there. Its really loud rattle. Does anyone kno what's up and if it can be something other than the cat. And if its the cat is it still covered under gms emmisions warranty. Car is an 01 z06 with 60,000 miles. Thank in advance for the input

The H- Pipe "jingle" perhaps ? Have you owned the car a long time?
The factory H- Pipes are notorious for jingling noises especially on deceleration. If it is- no worries and no surgery required.
I've had the car for around 1 year. What causes the h pipe jingle. And that noice is a bit scarry its loud rattleing like metal is all moving inside the catalytic conv. <-- well that's were I think the rattleing is coming from
I believe it is the cat conv, because I looked at the tip of the drivers exhaust and I noticed little gold colored flakes, I believe their from the material inside the cats
