What's even more funny is those that simply hate esthetic mods on vettes; these doors are for shows-
should'nt show cars look like something was done different to the car? or should we just go to the local Chevy dealer and look at all the pretty shiny stock cars all in a row?
The most boring part of an all-Vette show is people bringing their stock C4s-C6s- unless it's a Commemorative, Indy or unusual stock special order color combo-

Do what you want, it's your car. I painted candy flames on my z06 and nay sayers had a field day. I have also won 24 trophies and 2 best of show with the flames. Dream Car Custom kit is one of the best out there and is in the 1300 to 1500 range. I saw the kit on eBay once so take a look there.

Lambos
Had them on for a year then took them off. Missed them for many reasons. First they make the inside access to your car much easier. I am 220 lbs and I can easily dive under my dash with them on. Cleaning your car much easier. They start lots of conversations and are generally really liked by the general population. At car shows they are great. I have the vertical door kit but the LSD is better !!! I truly love the addition depite the haters.......but what the heck I am the guy that put marble white in a MY vette

I have them on mine. I have a few friends that have them also. DO NOT BUY A $400 KIT!!! you will have problems. I had a friend buy that kit on ebay and had nothing but trouble. I installed the dream car custom kit, and truly feel its the best kit. With this kit you DO NOT cut on your car. Every other kit has too trim the fenders.
Just like said before, when you go to a car show, you will be the center of attention! Get ready to be asked a million questions!!!

What I find amusing is that on the forum there are plenty of lambo haters, yet customizing is just that. At car shows cars with lambo's etc get way more spectators than any other vette with the exception of the new zr1. I have them and some friends do and people go crazy over them and if you show your car go for it. I do think you should investigate the metal etc. I paid much more for vertical doors inc and friends for LSD and they seem to be the best made. Ultimately it is your car make it the way you like it IMO.

I have GT factory doors and i like them but i do a lot of shows. Please don't buy a 400 kit i made that mistae the first time. stick with the well known dealers Vertical doors inc,LSD,GT factory. I couldn't tell you about anyone else.I have friends with all 3kits and they all like them. With the VDI kit i'm not sure if you can open the door all the way out though. Anyway F**k the haters do what you want. If you want acceptance around here get some Lloyd's floormats and ccw wheels..lol

I guess the big question is "WHY", if I wanted a lambo doors, I guess I would of purchased a lambo.. I wonder if Lambo installs Covette doors, converting lift ups to side way openings??? Just wondering... I'm happy with the vette way..

Hope this is a survey response but while they may appeal to some the body work to get this mod right on fix and finish is not cheap. They could give you the doors and install costs are $$$$$$. Check for endorsements with owners that completed the change, but why mess with a GOOD THING.

They look good on a Lambo - awkward looking on a Vette.
